JCB and SONS | Erin Ontario, Trim Finishing of New Pine Baseboard, Casing and Doors

JCB & SONS Erin Ontario, Trim Finishing of New Pine Baseboard, Casing and Doors.  We have completed the finishing work of Mortising the hinges into the new doors and door jambs.  We custom made the door jambs in the shop to fit the wall thickness of this Hillsburg home as they aren't a standard thickness.  We cut everything to width and than ran an 1/8" round over profile on the edges of all of the door jambs.  All of our Pine doors and Millwork came from Welbeck Sawmill

We predrilled all the doors in our shop before finishing with this guided drill boring jig to make sure all the holes are precisely drilled for our new Weiser Door Knobs from McLean's Home Hardware

We also custom made some wall plates for the tack room in this home to install the clients new saddle and blanket holders.  We made them out of pine and finished them of with a Roman Ogee Edge

The 2-3/4" Colonial Pine Casing from Welbeck Sawmill after a coat of Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner and a coat of Minwax Ipswich Pine Stain

We use this Door and Jamb Butt Template to mortise the hinges in quickly and accurately with a high level of precision.
Ready for the new hinges!
